Reading Time: 2 minutes

The Indian National Flag is a symbol of national pride for the entire nation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the 75th year of Indian independence, with an aim to invoke the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of the citizen and promote awareness about our national flag, has initiated ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign to celebrate ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’.

More than 20 crore national flags have been gifted to people, since the announcement of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign. The Government is expecting full support from celebrated individuals to build up the momentum before the actual event. If they upload their pictures on micro-blogging sites and other platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, it will certainly encourage citizens to join the mega celebrations. Lately, actors like- Aamir Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Kangana Ranaut joined the drive.

Over the past few days the markets are flooded with Tiranga kites, Tiranga T-Shirts, different sizes of flags, Tiranga badges, Tiranga hand bands, and many other varieties which have depicted the Tiranga.

Narendra Modi has transformed India from a third-world country into a global superpower. Make in India initiative has given a substantial boost to entrepreneurship in India, not only in manufacturing but also other sectors. In a recent interview Narendra Modi stated – “We have to ensure that there is not only global demand but also global acceptance of ‘Make in India’ products. We have to strengthen brand India on the basis of quality and credibility.

Our relationship with our national flag has always been more formal and institutional than personal so bringing the ‘Tiranga’ home collectively as a nation in the 75th year of independence becomes symbolic of not only an act of personal connection to the Tiranga but also an embodiment of our commitment towards nation-building, creating a patriotic feeling, a feeling of connecting with all under a common fag however far the distance, the tiranga is uniting us!
